One in three pets will go missing in its lifetime and only 10% will ever be reunited with their owner.
If the only thing standing between you and finding your lost pet is an id collar or microchip, the answer seems obvious.
However, the id collar and microchip are only as good as the information they provide. So make sure to keep those items updated with your current information.
Should you find a pet, you can take it to your local veterinarian and they can scan it for a microchip and hopefully find the owner.
During National Pet ID Week, April 21-26, 2014, Neartown Animal Clinic will be offering microchips for $32.50, a 50% discount.
